The player behind this account isn't new to the RP scene, exactly, but it's been a while, and I've never played Scott before. Lemme know how I'm doing -- if there's something you'd like to see, something you think isn't right, something you like, something you've noticed. I always want to improve.

All comments are unscreened, but if you'd rather have the option to leave anonymous comments hidden, I'll take it under consideration.

World Information:
Ostensibly set in real world time, the world of Teen Wolf involves such familiar things as cell phones, laptops, and Macy's. Less recognisable are the shape-shifting underworld (so far largely comprised of werewolves) and the hunters who seek to weed them out. The show itself bridges the gap between these communities and the trials and tribulations of human high school in northern California, where Scott lives in a rural inland town and has done for most of his life. Lacrosse is the big sport on campus, and most people in school are concerned with a) passing class, and b) getting out of town or c) going into business in town. The authority of the town sherriff suggests that the town, Beacon Hills, is small enough that it's between counties, and lacking in a police department of its own. I would place it in the mountain foothills north of the Central Valley -- it gets hot in the summer, somewhat cool in the winter, and there's easy access to a lot of produce. No snow, not a lot of severe weather. A lot of wildlife, and no native wolves. Well, not exactly.

Werewolves have existed since the dawn of humanity, as far as we know. In this mythos, they do change under the full moon, but also under the influence of uncontrollable emotion. Rage, pain, lust, that sort of thing. An experienced wolf can control this transformation and switch forms at will; the novice will not only do so involuntarily, but also lose memory from one form to the other. In any form, werewolves have heightened healing abilities, that function much like the application of medi-gel in the Mass Effect universe and do not seem to require any conscious effort. They are also significantly more durable than the average human. Chronic illness and physical disabilities seem to be cured upon receiving the bite, though there may be limitation on how extensive this healing can be. Particularly severe wounds or incorrect healing can still take months or even years to correct, and there seems to be no defense against mental trauma.

Wrewolves are also super-strong, and possess sharp teeth and claws while in transformation. A bite from a transformed werewolf, if the victim lives, will make the victim a wolf also. Lycanthropy is also genetic, however, as evidenced by the presence of werewolf clans. There is a basic hierarchy among werewolves: most werewolves are betas, vulnerable to the influence or command of alpha werewolves. Alphas are the only werewolves shown to be capable of transforming into a proper wolf, and in all transformations other than human will possess glowing red eyes, instead of the blue or gold eyes of other werewolves. Finally, a werewolf who is not associated with a pack is considered an omega wolf, and are significantly weaker than even betas -- though whether this is a significant difference in power or simply because they have no pack to back them up in a fight is not entirely clear. There's also evidence to suggest that lycanthropic powers are somewhat susceptible to mood change; a depressed, lonely, or insecure werewolf may be hampered in this way just as a human in the same condition might be.

Werewolves are also incredibly dangerous to humans, both because the inexperienced cannot be responsible for their actions or control their strength, and the less ethical may be inclined to use it to harm others to great effect. Human meat does not seem to be the preferred meal of the wolf -- killing people is more of a symbolic gesture. However this is still enough to account for the presence of vampire hunters, and even hunter families. Silver bullets and wolfsbane are their weapons of choice, though cutting off a werewolf's head or burning them alive also has the desired effect. It can be assumed that any method of killing which works instantly (disallowing the body time to regenerate), or destroys the body enough to render regeneration ineffective or impossible, will be effective. Hunters are supposed to follow a code of conduct that dictates they will only hunt those werewolves who hurt others, but with no overarching governing body and a very vague definition of "hurt", it's very easy and very tempting to bend or ignore the Code altogether. Werewolf hunters are by necessity ruthless and paranoid, and hunting families tend to be close-knit and suspicious of outsiders. Also, in theory, matriarchal.

There are further mystical elements to the show; the use of vague willpower magic, the resurrection of a dead alpha, and the exploration of other transformation mythologies. These are all vague and not particularly applicable to Scott's character. He doesn't understand them and short of acquiring more characters from the show he won't interact with them, but he's probably inclined to be more believing of weird fantastic shit now because of it.

Personality:
Scott's kind of the ultimate protagonist type. Easygoing, earnest, and ethical, he's quick to get involved in other people's problems even as he complains about his life getting too interesting. He wants a quiet life, to play lacrosse, and spend time with his mother, his best friend, and his girlfriend; he works part-time in a veterinarian's clinic. Pre-lycanthropy, he was regarded as a bit of a loser, though the only person who seemed to outright dislike him was the asshole lacrosse team captain. After getting the bite, though, everything changed.

He's a nurturer and a worrier, and determined to do right by everyone -- even people who have done him harm. But he's also a teenage boy, and driven by his heart more than his head brings him to grief fairly often. He's got a pronounced sense of pride, and finds it difficult to admit when he's wrong, but he does try. Before the bite, he was a good and conscientious student, though not possessed of the exceptional intellect of Stiles or Lydia. These days, his academics are suffering. He's concerned about his powers and frustrated by the circumstances they've left him in, but he doesn't shy away from using them. He's a bit slow on the uptake, but he's a good leader, and once he's got a read on the situation tends to have good ideas. It's just hard sometimes to keep him from rushing in headfirst long enough for them to come to him.

Upon receiving the bite, he didn't experience much of a dramatic personality overhaul. But his friends and classmates noticed a difference in Scott nonetheless -- specifically, he no longer needed his inhaler, and he could suddenly perform unbelievable athletic feats. This scored him a place on the school lacrosse team, and his subsequent success there both catapulted him into popularity and also gave him a healthy dose of self-confidence. The other influence on his personality had nothing to do with the bite -- but rather his meeting and subsequently dating Allison Argent, the love of his very young life and the child of (as he would discover) an old werewolf hunting family. In him Allison saw a kind and genuine boy who sincerely cared about her, and in Allison Scott found a sparkling wit and deep thinker. At their best, they clearly displayed their intense affection for each other and enjoyment of each other's company; at their worst, they tended to protect each other from painful truths without thought for the other's wishes or agency. But they managed to conduct a relationship despite both sides pressuring them to break things off. Currently they no longer date, Allison having gone through some intense emotional trauma and having made a lot of decisions that she needs time to cope with. Scott has agreed to give them some space, but believes that they are destined to be together, and there seems to be no loss of caring between the two.

But back to his powers -- the one thing they do directly impact are the consequences of his emotions. If he gets angry, he stands a chance of wolfing out and causing significant damage to property and people, not to mention someone discovering his abilities or recognising him as a threat. Therefore he's been developing much greater control over himself than he previously had, although it's definitely a work in progress.

His best friend is Stiles Stilinski, and they embody the concept of 'opposites attract'. Scott is the heart to Stiles' head, the immediate action to Stiles' overthinking. They supported each other through childhood traumas -- Stiles' mother's death, and Scott's father leaving. Though Scott seems much less affected by his father's absence, he is nonetheless aware and understanding of Stiles' deeper troubles there. They act flippant a lot, but never seem troubled about expressing genuine affection for each other. Stiles has been there for Scott throughout the whole werewolf ideal, at no small risk to life and limb, and his presence means a great deal to Scott, who can tend to feel isolated by his newfound abilities and the task of keeping them secret.

Since his success in lacrosse, Scott's been promoted to team co-captain, much to the other captain's (Jackson Whitmore) chagrin. Jackson's been the bully jock since day one, and despite Scott's efforts to get along when their girlfriends became close friends, friendship never seemed on the table for them. Scott's bailed him out of plenty of dangerous situations, though, and refused to let the other werewolves kill him in season one, or the hunters in season two when Jackson had become a dangerous shapeshifter called the kamina.

Abilities, Weaknesses, and Power Limitations:
Werewolf powers outlined above, but succincty: strong regeneration ability sans medi-gel, super-strength, skilled in melee combat, limited healing abilities (demonstrated on dogs, but in a way that suggests that with enough training it could be used on other species) and competency with more mundane first aid -- splinting, stitching wounds, that sort of thing.

Weaknesses: Silver, wolfsbane (in a mystical sense, not just the poisonous aspect). Injuries will incapacitate him, just not for very long. He has no defense against mass effect fields, so biotics should be fairly effective against him.

Power limitations: He has no limitless energy, so tiring himself out means he'll need to rest. He needs to eat a lot, and he still has trouble controlling himself in transformation. When it comes to the conscious aspects of his powers -- transforming on command, especially -- he's still working on it. He hasn't been a wolf for very long.

(In regards to his full moon transformations, they will be synchronised to whenever the full moon is in real life. If game time progesses at a parallel rate, I'll say he's still tied to earth's moon, and if not, then I'll say it's getting distorted by a nearby planet or star. Is this cool, mods?)

Inventory:
one (1) earth cell phone from around 2011
earth outfit, comprised of two layered shirts, jeans, boxer-briefs, plain socks, skate shoes
omnitool, inexplicably in his possession upon waking
wallet, containing a few US dollars, identification, debit card, picture of Allison Argent
inhaler, out of habit

Appearance:
Scott's a middling-tall boy, well-muscled but not burly by any means. He's got dark shaggy hair that sort of lifts off his head, thick eyebrows, an impressively beaky nose, and the most heart-melting smile to grace any werewolf's face since fucking ever dear lord this kid. Just like, imagine a huge puppy who is actually a human.

He's played by Tyler Posey:

Log Sample:
Out the big windows was space. Like, the whole space, just sort of sitting there, big and black and full of stars. And Scott was sitting inside a spaceship with a bunch of salamander dudes who patted him on the back sympathetically a lot. They'd said they were landing at Omega and they'd let him off there, but he hadn't really understood what that meant until now.

Omega was this jellyfish-shaped thing sort of floating in space. Carved out of a huge space rock. With little toy spaceships gathering around the tentacle parts like flies. At first it just looked Earth city sized, but it kept growing as they kept flying toward it and now it was definitely bigger than any city Scott ever saw.

I wonder if they have werewolves here too.

For that matter, there didn't seem to be any moon. How would that even work? Was he still on Earth moon time? Was he even still a werewolf? Since showing up on this ship, he hadn't gotten mad, hadn't gotten turned on -- hadn't even gotten scared, really. Though maybe he would once it sunk in. It all just felt like a really weird dream.

Space. Just when he thought all the weirdest stuff had already happened to him.

Network Sample:
Uh, is this thing on? What's the light mean?

[He taps it a couple times, clears his throat]

I think it's recording. This is kind of cool, way easier than typing. Portable Skype? Heck yeah.

[pause, shuffle]

I asked this weird looking salamander dude where I was and he gave me a longer spiel than even Stiles usually does. What did he mean, Omega Nebula? Aren't nebulas, like, in space?

He gave me a weird look when I asked him that. Great, the salamander dude thinks I'm stupid. Yeah, it turns out we're in space, and he's an alien -- or I'm an alien and this is salamander dude territory. I asked him if he knew how I could get back to earth, and he said I didn't want to do that. Just looked at me when I asked him why. Should I be worried?

My phone's not working, so I guess that's a bad sign.
